final- malaria

According to MedineNet.com, "Malaria is an infectious disease caused by a parasite, Plasmodium, which infects red blood cells." This disease has become and enormous problem in countries, such as Asia, Africa, and the Americas. It is a disease carried by female Anopheles mosquitos. If you get bitten by a mosquito carrying the disease, it can transmit the disease to you. This disease is especially a problem in Africa. I think that this is a serious problem and really needs to be fixed. Every year, around 515 million cases are diagnosed. About 1 to 3 million of the diagnosed die per year. Those who do not die can have symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cough, chills, fevers, and sweating. yahoo post

Now with all of the new internet technology, all of the big internet sites have a lot of competition. Yahoo is a big site, but is now struggling with all of the new competition. Due to Facebook, Myspace, and Google, Yahoo is losing users. To try to keep up with the competition, Yahoo is trying to create a way to keep their old users and attract new ones. The designers of Yahoo have a new idea up their sleeves to try and savce the future of Yahoo.

Mark Zuckerberg, the mastermind behind Facebook is a big competitor of Yahoo. He hacked into the Harvard computers and took the student’s pictures, and started facebook as commenting on the pictures. When the college found out, they put him on probation. He dropped out to pursue facebook. It then extended to 40 colleges, then high school students, and now even adults. Facebook started as a small site for college students and spread all over the country.

from frustration to learning

Sure, there were many times when I tried to create something using HTML but it jusdt wouldn't work. Like when you tried to make the guide and instead of the words for the codes to come uo, it would just create the code. To fix this, I went to an online website that shows you different codes to make the code you want viewable instead of just doing it. Also, there are many things on http://htmlgoodies.com/ that can help you create an HTML. It gives you color codes, codes to insert imagaes and links, and much more. When I tried making the column and row spans, it took a long time before it finally worked. Although it wasn't working at first, I continued to try and it eventually worked.

25 Days To Make A Difference

A 10 year old name Laura created a website filled with great ideas to help yourself, your family, and your community. It is about doing good deeds to improve the world. They are things that you should do during the 25 days of Christmas that can greatly help. There are llittle things like shoveling to help you family, donating to help other people, and even things as big as taking the bus instead of driving to use less gas. This website makes me feel good that people of every age are trying to pitch in and help the world. She has many good ideas and she is a good example to follow. Her ideas should be heard. Visit her website at http://http://twentyfivedays.wordpress.com/.

Is Even Trembly really missing??

There is an e-mail going around about a 15 year old boy named Evan Trembly. It says that he went missing two weeks ago in Canada. At first i felt bad for him and his parents but then the e-mail sounded a little fake. If you look around a little you find out that it is fake.

First of all, the e-mail is missing a lot of things that it should have. It doesn't give you any imformation on when it happned, where it happened, how it happened, or what to look for. There is very limited contact information- an invalid e-mail address. Also if you look it up on other sites, you find out that the whole thing is a hoax and Evan wrote it as a joke to his friends.
